The Church of India, Burma and Ceylon (CIBC) was the autonomous ecclesiastical province of the Anglican Communion in British India. The first Anglican diocese in India was established inthe Diocese of Calcutta, which became the metropolitan see of the Church of India, Burma and Ceylon. The Church of India, Burma and Ceylon spread as missionaries from the Church Mission Society.

In January, the provincial council of the church of India, Pakistan, Burma and Ceylon made the first time approval for this proposal of forming a province in Burma. January, the proposal for forming a new Anglican province in Myanmar was approved by the Provincial Council of the India, Pakistan, Burma and Ceylon as second time.

I should gladly have told of the work of other Missions if the scope of the book, and its limited size, had permitted. Another necessary limitation has been to India proper.
